There are many types of prostatitis, including chronic prostatitis, acute prostatitis, and so on. It is important to have examinations before treatment, but many friends believe that these examinations are a waste of money. In fact, only accurate examination of the cause can correct treatment be carried out. So, how can prostatitis be examined?
1. Prostate fluid examination: There are more than 10 white blood cells in the prostate fluid in the high magnification field of the microscope, and there are fewer lecithin bodies, which can be diagnosed as prostatitis. If bacterial culture is conducted simultaneously, a clear diagnosis and classification of chronic prostatitis can be made. If the bacterial culture result of prostatitis fluid is positive, chronic bacterial prostatitis is diagnosed; On the contrary, it is chronic non bacterial prostatitis.
2. B-ultrasound examination: The commonly used scanning methods for B-ultrasound examination of the prostate are through the abdominal wall, through the rectum, through the perineum, and through the urethra. The patient is required to drink 500 to 1000 milliliters of water 30 minutes before the B-ultrasound examination to moderately fill the bladder and store about 300 milliliters of urine. Insufficient or excessive filling is not conducive to the examination. Ultrasound of the prostate is more helpful than CT in determining the location, size, morphology, and intraglandular invasion of prostate cancer. It is helpful for the grading and staging of prostate cancer.
3. Digital rectal examination: The prostate is plump, enlarged, soft, and slightly tender. "If the disease lasts a long time, the prostate gland will become smaller, harder, uneven in texture, and have small nodules.". At the same time, the method of prostate massage is used to obtain prostate fluid for a routine examination.
4. Pathogen resistance test: bacterial culture of prostate fluid to detect pathogenic factors, and classification treatment of prostatitis. Helps diagnosis and treatment. A positive result can be diagnosed as bacterial chronic prostatitis.
