Testitis is a common disease of male reproductive system, which brings a lot of harm to male friends. Most patients are young men, and it is rare for the elderly to suffer from this disease. Experts pointed out that orchitis is very harmful. So, male friends must know the cause, harm and treatment of male orchitis.
What is the cause of male orchitis?
1. Chronic orchitis is usually caused by incomplete treatment of non-specific acute orchitis. Granulomatous orchitis can occur in patients with fungal, spirochete, parasitic infections, such as testicular syphilis, and testicular trauma. Local or whole-body radioisotope phosphorus irradiation of testis can also cause orchitis and destroy testicular tissue.
2. Epidemic mumps is the most common cause of orchitis. About 20% of mumps patients have orchitis. It is often seen in the late adolescence. The naked eye can see that the testicles are swollen high and purplish blue. During testicular resection, the testicular tubules could not be extruded due to interstitial reaction and edema. Histological observation showed edema and vasodilation, a large number of inflammatory cells infiltrated, and the seminiferous tubules had different degrees of degeneration. When orchitis heals, the testicles become smaller and softer. The seminiferous tubules are severely atrophic, but the testicular interstitial cells are preserved, and the secretion of testosterone is not affected.
3. Acute nonspecific orchitis often occurs in patients with urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, prostatectomy and long-term indwelling catheter. Pathologically, the naked eye observation mainly showed that the testis was enlarged, congested, and there was a small abscess when the testis was cut nervously. Histologically, focal necrosis, edema of connective tissue and infiltration of lobulated nuclear granulocytes, inflammation, hemorrhage and necrosis of seminiferous tubules, and testicular abscess and testicular infarction may form in severe cases.
4. Orchitis is usually caused by bacteria and viruses. Bacterial infection rarely occurs in the testis itself. Because the testis has a rich supply of blood and lymph, it has a strong resistance to bacterial infection. Bacterial orchitis is often caused by nearby orchitis, also known as orchitis. Common pathogenic bacteria are Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, etc.
Orchitis can cause four major hazards
1) It can induce serious diseases, such as urinary infection, prostatitis, endocrine diseases, varicocele, phlebitis, nephritis and other kidney diseases and malignant tumors.
