Most patients with prostate pain exhibit symptoms such as persistent frequent urination, urgency, difficulty urinating, and discomfort in the prostate. However, there are often no pus cells in their prostate fluid, nor are there significant pathological changes of infection, and bacteria are not found in culture. Who is playing tricks on men with prostate pain?
Etiology of prostate pain:
Urodynamic studies have shown that the symptoms of prostate pain are mainly mediated by spasms in the external urethral support muscles caused by the sympathetic nervous system or the sympathetic and peripheral nervous systems. Some scholars believe that the clinical manifestations and video urodynamic abnormalities in patients with prostate pain are mostly related to signs of bladder neck and prostate urethral spasm. The decrease in urinary flow rate in patients is associated with incomplete bladder neck relaxation and abnormal stricture of the urethral segment directly adjacent to the external sphincter muscle. "Bladder neck or urethral spasm increases the pressure of the prostate and urethra, which can lead to a reverse flow of urine within the prostate during urination, which can further cause chemical prostatitis (non bacterial prostatitis).".
The second cause of prostate pain:
The symptoms of some patients with prostate pain may be related to mental depression and hyperactivity, and most scholars believe that stress response is the primary cause of prostate pain. Many patients with prostate pain acknowledge stress and emotional tension. Even if stress response is not the cause of prostate pain, it is also an influence; However, the mechanism of stress response as a cause of prostate pain is not yet clear.
Failure to take medication is undoubtedly an emotional disturbance for some patients with prostate pain. The smooth muscle of the bladder neck and prostate is rich in a-adrenergic receptors, which may worsen symptoms due to cold, or may be related to perineal muscle fatigue caused by prolonged sitting, long-distance running, long-distance cycling, or other sports activities. According to traditional Chinese medicine, this disease is related to the two meridians of the liver and kidney, or deficiency of the liver and kidney, feeling cold and dampness, concentrating in the anterior yin, while cold leads to stagnation, blockage of the meridians, and unfavorable bladder gasification; "Either due to anger and anxiety, or due to prolonged sitting, the liver qi fails, the qi stagnates in the liver vessels, binds to the yin organs, and the qi mechanism is blocked;"; Eventually, due to the stagnation of qi in the liver and kidney meridians, and the obstruction of qi and blood stasis in the collaterals, various symptoms occur.
