Prostatitis is a common disease among male prostate diseases, which can be divided into acute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis. However, many men have not noticed the important role of the prostate for themselves, so they do not know what conditions prove that there is a problem with the prostate.
When we suspect that we have prostatitis and need to go to a hospital for an examination, many people are not sure what kind of examination the hospital will probably do. The following is an introduction to the project on how to check for prostatitis in hospitals, to help men clearly understand the diagnosis of prostatitis.
1) Bacteriological examination:
Helps diagnosis and treatment. A positive result can be diagnosed as bacterial chronic prostatitis.
2) Prostate fluid examination:
The negative result of one examination cannot easily exclude the disease; A positive result can generally make a diagnosis of chronic prostatitis.
3) Digital rectal examination:
It is a routine examination for prostatitis. During digital examination, the prostate gland varies in size, has an irregular surface, some glands become hardened or have small indurations, and most have mild tenderness.
4) Prostate biopsy (biopsy):
It is of decisive significance in the diagnosis of chronic prostatitis, but of little significance in distinguishing between bacterial and non bacterial prostatitis.
5) Ultrasonic examination:
In some patients with chronic prostatitis, the capsule reflection is not smooth due to local exudation, fibrosis, and adhesion. In severe cases, the envelope boundary is unclear; The glands have regular morphology, symmetrical from left to right, and localized decreased reflexes can be seen inside. This examination can be used for clinical reference.
6) Immunoassay:
Using specific antigen O agglutination test, 82% of patients with chronic Escherichia coli prostatitis have elevated serum E. coli antibodies, while patients with only E. coli urethritis and normal individuals have lower serum E. coli antibodies.
Prostatitis is not terrible. The key is to establish a scientific understanding and correct mentality, and actively cooperate with doctors in their treatment.
Obstruction can worsen inflammation of the prostate.
