The occurrence of vulvitis has a serious impact on patients, and there are many reasons for its illness. We should pay attention to daily life details, take reasonable measures for effective prevention, and reduce the probability of illness.
Causes of vulvitis
1. Mixed infection: Due to various stimuli, it often causes mixed infections, with the pathogenic bacteria mainly being Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Escherichia coli.
2. Vaginal secretion stimulation: When there is an increase in vaginal secretion or stimulation of menstrual blood or menstrual pads, especially in cases of cervicitis and various vaginitis, the secretion increases and flows into the external genitalia, leading to varying degrees of vulvitis.
3. Other reasons: Vulvitis may not necessarily be unhygienic. Some women have Candida parasites in their bodies, and there is usually no disharmony. However, when the overall or local immune system of the vagina decreases, Candida will multiply in large numbers, causing symptoms. Common reasons include pregnancy, use of antibiotics, obesity, wearing tight synthetic underwear, overwork, and tension.
4. Local skin uncleanness: The skin of the external genitalia is soaked in menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, urine, feces, and sweat, leading to chronic inflammation of the local skin and causing vulvitis.
5. Fungal vaginitis: itching of the external genitalia and vagina, redness of the external genitalia, bean residue like leukorrhea, unpleasant odor, and eczematous changes after scraping of the external genitalia. Therefore, it is important for women to seek medical attention promptly if they experience symptoms such as itching.
6. Having bad medication habits: Many women in daily life have the habit of taking medication at will. For colds and other diseases, they like to buy antibiotics at pharmacies and take them themselves. Some people believe that long-term use of medication to wash the external genitalia will not cause vulvitis, but it has the opposite effect
7. Habit of long-term use of sanitary pads: Some women often use sanitary pads, whether during menstruation or not. This behavior is not good because these sanitary pads have poor permeability, and long-term use can cause local moisture and bacterial growth, which is also the cause of inflammation. Therefore, it is recommended that female friends use pads during menstruation, and it is best not to use them at other times.
8. Long term sitting: Vulvitis is also closely related to long-term sitting in women, as prolonged sitting can lead to poor blood circulation in the lower limbs of female friends, and the external genitalia is not ventilated, leading to the occurrence of vulvitis.
