Asthenospermia refers to poor or even no motility of sperm, and is a common male infertility factor. Once asthenozoospermia occurs, it will greatly weaken a man's vitality, and it is naturally difficult to achieve satisfactory sexual life without strong firepower from the "bullet". According to relevant domestic literature reports, about 30% of male infertility is caused by asthenozoospermia, which should be taken seriously.
1. Reproductive infectious diseases. Inflammation of the epididymis, seminal vesicles, and prostate gland can cause changes in seminal plasma, which are not conducive to sperm activity and survival due to their pH, oxygen supply, nutrition, and metabolism.
2. Varicocele. In addition, the increase of prostaglandin and 5-hydroxytryptamine levels in venous blood can cause the decrease of sperm motility.
3. Mycoplasma infection. Mycoplasma adheres to the sperm tail and can affect sperm motility.
4. Impaired testicular development. If the seminiferous epithelium of the testes is not fully mature or damaged, it becomes thinner, the quality of sperm is poor, and the vitality is weakened.
5. Insufficient semen volume. There is not much room for sperm activity.
6. Anti sperm antibodies are produced in the body, causing sperm to agglutinate or immobilize.
There are many causes of asthenozoospermia, and whether it causes infertility depends on the degree of asthenozoospermia. If it is mild, it generally has no significant impact on fertility. If it is severe, further examination should be conducted to see the cause of asthenozoospermia, whether there is asthenozoospermia caused by prostatitis, and whether there is asthenozoospermia caused by immune factors. After identifying the cause of asthenozoospermia, the cause of asthenozoospermia should be treated accordingly.
