Sexual Health
The age of the perpetrator demonstrates the urgency of preventing child sexual assault between the two individuals
A major sexual assault case has erupted in Yingzi Town, Lianjiang City, Zhanjiang. According to online posts, a 17-year-old girl was gang raped by dozens of men at night, causing her to bleed heavily and be sent to the hospital for treatment. Recently, reporters confirmed from relevant sources that the police have solved the case, and at least 7 people have surrendered to the local police station, most of whom are underage school students. This matter was first exposed online. According to online posts, at the end of December last year, a girl from Yingzi Town in Lianjiang City went to the neighboring village to attend her friend's birthday. Later, another boy who also attended the birthday took the girl to a nearby shrimp pond, and the two had sex. Afterwards, the boy called two other male friends and had sex with the girl again.
Afterwards, 19 people were called to the scene and had connections with this girl. According to online submissions, a total of 22 men arrived at the scene, of which 17 were related to women. After the girl returned home, she shed blood continuously for three days, but was eventually discovered by an adult and sent to the hospital for treatment. Nine condoms were found at the scene of the incident where the girl's family reported to the police.
The age of the perpetrators is concentrated in two directions
Among the 40 cases of child sexual assault publicly reported by statistical media, 14 cases did not mention the age of the perpetrator. Among the 26 cases where the age of the perpetrator was mentioned, 18 cases involved the perpetrator being over 43 years old at the time of the incident. In addition, in four cases, the perpetrators were under the age of 20 at the time of the incident. That is to say, the proportion of cases where the age of the perpetrator is greater than 43 years or less than 20 years old accounts for about 84.6% of cases where the age of the perpetrator is mentioned, and the trend of the perpetrator's age being concentrated towards both ends is obvious.
The issue of minors' participation in the implementation of sexual assault crimes has also become increasingly prominent. The crime committed by minors is closely related to their upbringing environment. Some of the minors who implement or participate in the implementation of sexual assault drop out of school without graduation from junior high school, and some come from divorced or single parent families.
Working outside and inadequate parental discipline are also important reasons for underage delinquency. The vast majority of minors who engage in misconduct and serious misconduct lack effective guardianship, are in a state of dropout or unemployment, are tempted by pornographic information and alcohol paralysis, and are prone to impulsivity. Therefore, they engage in or participate in other minors' aggressive behavior.
How to correctly prevent child sexual assault?
1. Parents should educate their children to have their own opinions sometimes. Many parents like to educate their children to listen to their teachers at school. In principle, there is no doubt about this. The teacher told their children to listen in class, complete homework on time, focus, and so on. Children should listen and respect their teachers. However, should teachers listen to everything? A disobedient child is equivalent to a bad child, isn't it? Parents should usually educate their children to have self-esteem and independent thinking, and tell them that if the teacher makes obvious mistakes, they should dare to say no. It can avoid and reduce potential sexual assault.
