Sex education does not require lies. Pay attention to the five key periods of children's sex education
Many parents have misunderstandings about children's sex education. Due to parents' prejudice and ignorance of sex education, they are always shy of saying the word 'sex' to their children. However, when children ask questions related to sex, they are perfunctory and avoid answering them, resulting in children's misinterpretation of sex. Even if some parents are willing to answer questions about sex or genitalia, they are unwilling to call those nouns by their first name and instead use the method of "lying" to perfunctory their children.
Avoidance does not outweigh benefits
In early childhood, they are almost always oppressed by their parents. Most parents view their children's play with their genitals based on their own attitude towards sexuality, and seeing their children's behavior can make them feel uneasy. In some families, the genitals are never mentioned, and they can teach their children any part of the body
In fact, for children of this age group, things without names do not exist. They will not stop exploring because of everyone's negative attitude, and parents' negative attitude often has a serious impact on children's future emotional and behavioral development.
Sex education does not require lying
In many families, the name 'penis' is often given funny names such as' bird' or 'sparrow'. Because everyone wants to hide the coronal or more elegant name of their reproductive organs, don't let others know its existence at a glance. After all, this is when people treat sex as something dirty. When children play with their genitals, sex becomes a crime.
If children receive incorrect sex education and knowledge during this period, forcing them to accept the idea that sex is evil and dirty, then neutrality in their hearts becomes terrifying, unhealthy, and even indecent, leading to negative sexual awareness. This concept is constantly strengthened as children age, which may lead to sexual apathy and dysfunction in adulthood
Therefore, as parents, when children ask related questions, they should directly tell their children the correct name of their body parts, including the reproductive organs, so that children can understand that their reproductive organs are no different from other organs in the body. These places are relatively fragile and very important to the human body. They need to be carefully protected and should not be easily injured.
