Gonococcal ophthalmopathy

It is more common in homosexual individuals with a history of rectal sexual intercourse, and a small number of patients are infected with gonococcal bacteria in the reproductive tract and spread to the rectum. The pathogens are mostly gonococcal bacteria, Treponema pallidum, Chlamydia trachomatis, herpes simplex virus, etc.
Shower arthritis
40% -60% of patients with shower induced arthritis are caused by shower induced coccal infections. This disease has the characteristics of asymmetric affected joints, multiple joint onset, erythema and pustules on the skin before onset, or tenosynovitis of hands and feet. 80% of patients can culture Neisseria gonorrhoeae from their cervix, rectum, urethra, or throat.
Sexually transmitted disease perihepatitis
This disease is caused by the spread of sexually transmitted disease pathogens through the bloodstream to the liver, with some patients presenting as myocardial pericarditis, pneumonia, etc.
The common symptoms are severe pain, tenderness, and rebound pain in the upper right abdomen, accompanied by pelvic inflammatory symptoms such as fever and lower abdominal pain, but there is no acute abdomen with liver enlargement or jaundice. The pathogens are gonococcal, chlamydia trachomatis, or mycoplasma.
