Is syphilis transmitted from mother to child due to mother's concern that she should cover her child to death
Li, a mother suffering from depression, unexpectedly became pregnant during the treatment of syphilis. Six months after her daughter was born, she was so worried that she had already been infected by herself that she held her daughter to the toilet and covered her to death. A few days ago, the case was adjudicated by the court of Donghu High tech Zone in Wuhan.
The mother of syphilis was worried about being infected by her daughter and died. A 36 year old woman named Li lived in Hongshan and gave birth to a son with her husband, Cao. In 2014, Li unexpectedly became pregnant. Unlike other mothers, she was happy to have two children. Melancholy Li discovered syphilis in 2012 and has been receiving treatment, with low annual treatment costs. In 2014, she learned of her unexpected pregnancy and discussed with her husband not to have this child. After a strong ideological struggle, on January 25, 2015, Li successfully gave birth to a baby girl named Duoduo at Guanshan Hospital.
After the birth of his daughter, Li was always worried that his syphilis would spread from mother to daughter. What makes Li even more restless is that when her daughter grows up and knows she has this disease, she will definitely resent her mother. Moreover, this disease requires lifelong treatment, and long-term injection therapy for her daughter will not only affect her life, but also the family cannot afford it.
On August 18, 2015, Li was vaccinated at the Disease Control Center and was told by a nurse that if the child does not rule out syphilis, they cannot be vaccinated. Li gave up getting vaccinated while his daughter Duoduo was not diagnosed with syphilis, and on the way home with her daughter, he also had terrifying thoughts.
Sitting in the last row of seats on the 913 bus, Li hugged his daughter and tried to cover her mouth and nose with his hand, but due to her constant struggle, she couldn't bear it. After getting off the car, Mr. Li took his daughter to the bathroom and died when he saw the hospital. Afterwards, Li called a three wheeled numb carriage to carry his daughter's body home. Upon hearing that the child was missing, his mother-in-law immediately scolded his wife. It was already late for Cao to come back and deliver the wheel to the hospital for rescue.
The transmission route of syphilis should be clear
Firstly. More than 90% of syphilis in clinical practice is transmitted through sexual contact with syphilis patients. The methods of sexual contact include sexual intercourse, hot kisses, and skin contact hugs. Due to the thin skin mucosa and abundant blood vessels in the genital area of the human body, sexual intercourse is in an extremely congested state. Sexual friction can cause subtle damage, creating conditions for the invasion of syphilis pallidum.
