There are two types of renal cysts
Most of the renal cysts we commonly refer to are simple renal cysts, while hereditary renal cysts, known as polycystic kidneys, account for a relatively small proportion.
Of course, this is only a statistical conclusion on the incidence of polycystic kidney disease. In fact, in hospitals, the proportion of polycystic kidney disease is not small. Because many patients with renal cysts have smaller cysts, they do not go to a hospital for treatment.
Their differences
It is important to distinguish between them. Many patients will ask, "My kidney cyst is 5cm larger, or my kidney cyst has creatinine 200. What should I do?"? Upon closer examination, it turns out to be a polycystic kidney. Knowing what kind of person you are, but not distinguishing when speaking, is a small matter; Without knowing what kind of cyst you are, this misunderstanding can be significant and may cause you trouble. Therefore, it is necessary to describe the differences between them:
The number of renal cysts is relatively small, with some being single cysts and also 2-4 cysts. Generally, the disease is mild and not hereditary.
"The number of cysts in polycystic kidney disease is countless, and the entire kidney is surrounded by cysts. Most of the cases are severe and hereditary.".
Can cysts be treated?
If you go to see a Western medicine, the doctor will tell you to go back and have a review every six months. When the cyst becomes large or affects renal function, surgery is performed to remove the large cyst.
After the surgery? "Small cysts will continue to grow, which is not a good idea.". For Western medicine, cysts cannot shrink.
So many people will turn their attention to traditional Chinese medicine. Can traditional Chinese medicine control cysts and prevent them from growing? Or even make it smaller?
According to clinical practice, it is feasible to control cysts with traditional Chinese medicine. On the one hand, traditional Chinese medicine suppresses the secretory activity of lining cells on the inner wall of the cyst through traditional Chinese medicine, and on the other hand, it expands the blood vessels on the inner wall of the cyst, causing the fluid inside the cyst to flow out, causing the cyst to shrink. There are many methods of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, such as external use of traditional Chinese medicine, oral administration, acupoint application, foot bath, medicinal bath, fumigation, etc. Through these methods, blood toxins are removed, cysts are reduced, and intracapsular pressure is reduced. For example, Xiao Luo, who was treated a few days ago, wrote "After 11 days of treatment, the cyst disappeared.".
At the same time, it is also important to know that cysts are not so easy to deal with.
From a genetic perspective, there are two types of mutated genes that cause polycystic kidney disease, PKD1 and PKD2. However, polycystic kidney disease caused by PKD1 mutations is more severe and has a poor prognosis, while PKD2 mutations cause better outcomes. From a patient's perspective, factors such as diet (salty, spicy, and other stimulating foods), work and rest, fatigue, and even emotions can affect the treatment effect. This has led to differences in the efficacy of different patients. Some people are treated to the extent that they do not grow or shrink by a centimeter or two, while others can shrink by a lot.
There are treatments, and as patients, we just do our best.
