How do women develop their genitals? Women should pay attention to 5 points to protect their genitals
As women grow, their genitals also grow together. So what is the process of female genital development? Let's follow the experts and take a look.
The process of female genital development
The female genitalia is divided into two major parts, internal and external, according to its anatomical location. The internal genitalia mainly consists of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and vagina; The external genitalia includes the pubis, labia minora, clitoris, vestibule, and perineum. These develop very slowly before puberty, and after entering puberty, both internal and external genitalia develop rapidly under the promotion of follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and sex hormone.
The ovary is the main sexual organ, which is a gray white flat oval body. It is small and smooth at the age of 8, and begins to develop at the age of 8-10. It then rises in a straight line. At menarche, the weight of the ovaries is only 30% of that of adults, and they continue to increase. At the age of 17-18, the ovaries are basically mature. The function of ovary has two aspects: one is to produce germ cell - egg; The second is the production of sex hormones, including estrogen and progesterone.
Therefore, the ovaries are both female internal genitalia and endocrine organs. The uterus begins to develop rapidly around the age of 10 and approaches adult levels by the age of 18. The endometrium undergoes periodic changes under the action of ovarian hormones and forms menstruation. The vagina becomes longer and wider, and the color becomes gray. mucous gland develop and secrete a lot of secretions. Vaginal secretions change from alkaline to acidic in childhood. The external genitalia transitions from immature to adult type, with raised pubic mounds, appearance of pubic hair, thickening of labia minora, and pigmentation.
The vaginal orifice is covered with a film called "hymen". There is a hole in the middle of hymen. The size of this hole varies from person to person. The small one cannot even pass through the fingers, while the large one can accommodate two fingers. The thickness of the hymen is generally about 2 mm, and some people can be very thin. The perineum can rupture by itself after strenuous exercise or accidental collision. Generally, most of them rupture during the first sexual intercourse, accompanied by a small amount of bleeding. Therefore, the bleeding during the first sexual intercourse cannot be used as the only basis to judge whether it is a girl.
