The survey shows that the work that a man is engaged in may affect his fertility status, but the researchers said that such findings need further research to reach a definitive conclusion.

The research team of the National University of Singapore found that men engaged in engineering technology, financial analysis, corporate and computer management and teachers were more likely to be infertile than men engaged in other professions. The research results were published in the November issue of the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
In order to find out whether men's occupation affects their fertility, the Singapore research team queried 640 men whose spouses were unable to conceive or who were undergoing infertility treatment. They screened 218 men from these men who could not find out the cause of infertility, and compared these men with 227 men whose wives were pregnant now.
The survey results show that the four kinds of professionals are easy to be infertile.
