Does postpartum vaginal relaxation affect sexual quality of life? What methods can improve postpartum vaginal relaxation
Women who have experienced natural childbirth will have their vagina dilated during childbirth, allowing the fetus to separate smoothly. Although the body can recover after 2 months postpartum, there is still varying degrees of vaginal relaxation, which affects the sensation.
How can postpartum vaginal relaxation be relieved?
1. Persist in anal lifting exercises

3. Ways to interrupt urination
Hold your breath halfway through each urination, hold for 5 seconds, then urinate again and again. Repeating this action repeatedly can increase the tension of the muscles around the vagina and restore the elasticity of the vaginal muscles.
4. Vaginal contraction exercise
Firstly, lie flat on the bed, wash your hands thoroughly, and keep your whole body relaxed. Slowly insert your index finger into the vagina to inhale and contract forcefully. Hold the vagina tightly for about 6 seconds, and then exhale to relax. This can help exercise the perineal muscles and improve vaginal relaxation.
5. Using medication to shrink yin
There are some special drugs on the market now, which can be directly applied inside the vagina to promote the continuous contraction of vaginal muscles and surrounding tissues. They are simple, convenient, and can achieve the effect of shrinking the vagina. But this method can only treat the symptoms but not the root cause. Once the medication is stopped, vaginal relaxation will recover again.
6. Perform vaginal plastic surgery
For older women who have given birth multiple times, the above exercises have no effect, and can only be used through vaginal plastic surgery to improve vaginal relaxation and help increase sexual appeal. This operation can be performed when the body slowly recovers and the hormone level returns to normal 5 months after the birth of the child. It is suitable for people with enlarged Vaginal orifice, loose vagina and valgus vaginal front wall. However, patients with gynecological diseases such as abnormal leucorrhea and Vaginitis must be cured thoroughly before operation.
