The occurrence of endometriosis not only affects the normal life and work of patients, but also seriously affects their health, especially the pain after illness. It is necessary to pay attention to treatment and cooking methods.
Symptoms of endometriosis
1. Physiological pain: Physiological pain is the most typical symptom of endometriosis, with secondary concomitant deterioration. It starts 1-2 days before menstruation, becomes most severe on the first day of the physiological day, gradually decreases afterwards, and disappears when menstruation is clean. In severe stages, the pain is unbearable, and the amount of painkillers added is also ineffective. Pain is caused by local tissue inflammatory response stimulated by internal bleeding in endometriosis lesions. At the same time, the secretion of prostaglandins by endometriosis lesions increases, leading to uterine muscle contracture and more significant dysmenorrhea.
2. Menstrual abnormalities: can manifest as excessive menstruation or menstrual disorders. Abnormal menstruation is often associated with endometriosis affecting ovarian function. Patients with endometriosis may experience ovarian dysfunction, such as abnormal ovulation
3. Infertility: Patients with endometriosis often have infertility, and the infertility rate among patients with endometriosis is 40% to 50%. Mainly due to endometriosis, adhesion around the fallopian tubes can affect the collection of oocytes, and ovarian lesions can affect ovulation.
4. Pain during sexual intercourse: Endometriosis that occurs in the uterine and rectal fossa, vaginal and rectal isolation, surrounding tissue swelling affecting sexual activity, and sexual deterioration before menstruation.
5. Bladder symptoms: Endometriosis is more common in the bladder, and periodic hematuria can occur when the bladder mucosa is invaded with symptoms of frequent urination and painful urination.
6. Stool bloating: It usually occurs during the pre menstrual period or after menstruation, and patients feel unbearable pain when their feces pass through the rectum, which is not felt at other times. It is a typical symptom of endometriosis in the uterine and rectal fossa and near the rectum. Occasionally, if the ectopic endometrium reaches deep into the rectal mucosa, there may be rectal bleeding during menstruation. People with endometriotic lesions that surround the rectum and form stenosis have symptoms of internal urgency, followed by congestion, similar to cancer.
Methods for relieving pain in endometriosis
1. Hot compress: A warm bag can be placed on the abdomen. Warm the abdomen and maintain a comfortable temperature, depending on individual needs.
2. Maintaining physical activity: Exercise can help treat endometriosis, but women who exercise regularly do not have evidence of endometriosis. You can try floor stretching exercises, cycling, or other activities that won't push your body too much.
