Differences in status can easily lead to emotional setbacks in couples
Marriage requires equal treatment, but the social status of both parties is not determined by this. Many couples have a situation of 'strong men and weak women' or 'strong women and weak men'. Perhaps in their lives, social status differences do not directly affect relationships, but gossip from outsiders or one party bringing work attitudes into the family can easily lead to emotional discord.
