Can couples engage in sexual activity during pregnancy? There are four precautions for sexual activity during pregnancy
Do Pregnancy Really Need Abstinence? In fact, in most cases, moderate sexual activity during pregnancy is not only harmless but also beneficial.
Can you have sex during pregnancy?
The fetus is in the uterus, and in addition to the thick uterine wall and placenta, there is also abundant amniotic fluid that can effectively buffer against external shocks, so the impact of sexual intercourse generally does not harm the fetus.
From pregnancy to delivery, the cervix is completely sealed by mucus, so sexual intercourse usually does not lead to infection. During sexual intercourse, women's reproductive organs have more opportunities for congestion, so they bring extra blood and nutrition to the fetus.
After pregnancy, there are many taboos, and abstinence is also one aspect. Sometimes I think it's okay, but men also have a lot of concerns, causing their relationship to become increasingly distant. There are still benefits to having sex in a timely and moderate manner during pregnancy.
Pay attention to sex during pregnancy
To ensure that sexual activity during pregnancy does not affect the healthy growth of the fetus, Zeng Chaoyang suggested that the position for sexual intercourse in mid pregnancy should be in the front, side, or back position. And the penis should not be inserted too deeply, and the movement amplitude should not be too large. There are four main points to pay attention to——
1. The frequency should not be too high, and the force should not be too strong. The umbilical cord is the lifeline of the fetus. If there is excessive sexual activity, excessive force, and pressure on the pregnant woman's abdomen, it may cause uterine contractions, premature rupture of the membranes, amniotic fluid outflow, compression of the umbilical cord, and even detachment from the rupture into the vagina. This situation will inevitably endanger the life of the fetus. Even if the fetal membrane is not ruptured and there is no miscarriage, it may still cause uterine infection. Severe infections can lead to fetal death, while mild infections can also affect fetal intelligence and development.
2. Pay attention to cleanliness. After pregnancy, Vaginal discharge increase, anti infection ability decreases, and local cleanliness is maintained, especially before and after sexual life.
3. Do not stimulate the nipple in any way, especially in the process of sexual life, or it will easily cause Uterine contraction.
4. It is recommended to have sexual intercourse once a week in the first half of pregnancy between 4 and 7 months, and once less in the second half. It is best not to have sexual intercourse during the first three months and the second three months of pregnancy. If expectant parents have sexual needs, they can engage in compensatory behavior instead of sexual intercourse.
Sexual activity should absolutely prohibit the following situations:
Pregnant women with a history of miscarriage or premature birth; Abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding; Serious complications (such as hypertension, diabetes, serious heart disease, etc.).
