In recent decades, the quality and quantity of male sperm have shown a downward trend, and more and more men have also experienced infertility. Of course, there are many reasons for male infertility, such as male diseases and lack of attention to life. But did you know? Some foods in daily life can cause problems with male sperm, leading to male infertility.
What foods can cause male infertility?
(1) Soybean is a sperm killer, and a new scientific study shows that certain components in soybean can cause a decrease in sperm count, thereby affecting male reproductive function. Many people unanimously recommend soy milk and soy yogurt as foods that can kill sperm.
(2) Fertility is closely related to nutritional factors, and insufficient or excessive nutrition can lead to male infertility. When malnutrition occurs, vitamins A, B, C, E, as well as minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, and trace elements such as zinc and selenium are deficient, resulting in reduced sperm production and decreased vitality.
Animal experiments have also shown that malnutrition can reduce the amount of semen and the content of fructose in semen that provides energy for sperm activity. Overnutrition in adolescence tends to lead to obesity, adiposis makes pituitary function lose or decline, male hormone release cannot be or reduced, children are prone to small testicles, small penis, lack of secondary sexual characteristics, feminization and other signs, which may lead to infertility in adulthood.
(3) Long term consumption of certain foods added with nitrite food preservative or meta sulfonamide food coloring agent, raw cottonseed oil, etc. can also lead to the decline of sperm quantity and quality.
