Frequent urination is a problem faced by many men, and many people will worry about whether they have prostate disease. The symptoms of prostate disease do include frequent urination, but not all frequent urination is caused by prostate disease.
The frequency of urination cannot be determined by the number of urination per day. The following conditions can be considered:
1. Changes in urination habits: Everyone's urination habits are different. Generally, normal people have 2 to 8 times a day, with an average of 5 to 6 times. If the urination habit increases from 2 to 3 times a day to 7 to 8 times a day, the meaning is different from the original 7 to 8 times.
2. Increased nocturnal urination: The urination activity is interfered by the external environment during the day, causing the excitement of the cerebral cortex, and the number of times can increase, but there is no such interference at night. If the number of urination increases, it often indicates that there are organic diseases in the urinary system, such as prostatic hyperplasia.
3. Increase of urine volume: the urine volume per time decreases, and the total urine volume per day remains unchanged. If the urine frequency increases, but the urine volume does not decrease each time, this is polyuria, such as diabetes, diabetes insipidus, etc.
4. Urine volume: the total volume of urine in 24 hours is related to drinking water and sweating, generally 1000-2000 ml, more than 2500 ml is polyuria, less than 400 ml is oliguria, less than 100 ml is anuria or urination. When suffering from diabetes and diabetes insipidus, the daily urine volume can reach 2500-5000ml. In patients with chronic nephritis or renal insufficiency, urine volume may increase significantly. In uremia N, acute nephritis, heart failure and shock, urine volume is reduced or even anuria. Urine in the daytime should be more than that in the night, which is 3:1-4:1. The urine pH of healthy people is 4.8-7.4, with an average value of 6, which is related to diet and drinking water.
