1. Digital rectal examination. Generally, the prostate has small induration, or the whole gland is swollen, soft and elastic, and tenderness is positive; The prostate can be normal or slightly larger, with tension, and one or two lobes are locally irregular; The prostate gland is obviously enlarged, hard, strong and tender. Soft areas can also be felt locally, and pus can be discharged when gently pressed.
2. Laboratory examination. A large number of white blood cells and pus cells can be seen in urine microscopic examination, and urine pH7. There are debris and pyuria in the first cup of the three-cup urine test; The second cup is often clear; The third cup is cloudy with debris and epithelial cells. Pathogenic bacteria can be found in the examination of urethral secretion and bacterial culture, and a large number of white blood cells and bacteria can be found in the smear staining of prostatic fluid examination.
