Prostatic hyperplasia is one of the most common diseases in men. If there are five major signals in daily life, they should not be ignored and should be diagnosed and treated in a timely manner.
1. Increased frequency of urination
No matter during the day or at night, the frequency of urination is much higher than usual, far exceeding the normal situation of 3 to 4 times during the day and 1 to 2 times at night. The interval between urination is short and there is a constant urge to urinate.
2. Hesitation in urination
When you feel the urge to urinate, you have to stand in the toilet and wait for a while before urination comes slowly. The urine flow is fine, the discharge is weak, and the range is not far. Sometimes it drips down like a thread from the urethral orifice. As the saying goes, "When people get old and their kidneys fail, urine occurs and wet their shoes." This is actually one of the manifestations of prostate hyperplasia.
3. Night urinary incontinence
When sleeping at night, urine flows out uncontrollably, even in the daytime.
4. Interruption of urination
After benign prostatic hyperplasia, crystals in the urine can easily agglomerate to form bladder stones, causing sudden interruption of urination. Interruption of urination and the presence of bladder stones in the elderly are strong "signals" of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
5. Hyperlibido
Patients may exhibit increased libido at an early stage that is not consistent with their age, or their libido may suddenly become intense after a consistent period of inactivity. This is often due to hyperplasia of the prostate, which leads to dysfunction of the prostate and feedback to temporary enhancement of testicular function.
