Sexual Health
Women should also pay attention to the risk of gynecological inflammation caused by excessive foreskin
In China, experts such as Pan Suiming and Ma Xiaonian, the director of the Institute of Sexual Sociology at Renmin University of China, have also measured the external genitalia structure of 356 women. Among them, 25.3% of the clitoral head can be exposed normally, 70.5% cannot be exposed but can be pushed out by hand, and the remaining 4.2% belong to phimosis or phimosis. However, it is still difficult to strictly define this in clinical practice, generally divided into three situations:
1. When erect or pushed by hand, the clitoral head cannot be exposed or visible to the naked eye, indicating phimosis;
2. The clitoral head can expose 1/4 to 3/4 of the foreskin, indicating phimosis;
3. The clitoral head can basically be completely exposed, which is normal.
But Ma Xiaonian also said that this is not actually a hard standard. The concepts of clitoral phimosis and foreskin elongation are mainly used as a reference to determine whether surgical plastic surgery is necessary.
Women also want to be circumcised?
Long foreskin in men can harm the health of themselves and their partners. Can foreskin and phimosis in the clitoris be harmful to women?
Many medical institutions have stated that the penis cannot be fully exposed, which directly affects sexual reactions. At the same time, it is easy to accumulate unclean secretions, bacteria, dirt, stimulate the mucosa, cause chronic inflammation, and problems such as adhesion between the penis and the foreskin. Ma Xiaonian's evaluation of this is "overly exaggerated". Indeed, if the foreskin of the clitoris is too long and not cleaned properly, it may cause inflammation and clitoral adhesions, but the symptoms are generally mild and mostly local reactions. The impact of too long foreskin on sexual sensitivity varies from person to person, and even if it has an impact, most women may not seek medical help because it is difficult to speak.
So, does the foreskin of the clitoris require surgery? Ma Xiaonian believes that "doctors will not easily recommend or mobilize women to undergo this surgery. However, for those who do have sexual problems, foreskin elongation, and phimosis, surgery is indeed necessary.
