Why should children receive sex education? What should be paid attention to in children's sex education
Many parents do not discuss sexual issues with their children, and even when their children ask 'Where do I come from', parents try to pass it off as much as possible. In fact, sex education for children should not be so narrow. Children should be able to understand gender differences, physical differences between men and women, and ways of getting along. This will help children accept changes in their own bodies and have a healthy sexual psychology to protect themselves from harm.
Why should children receive sex education?
Unlike the growth of the older generation many years ago, the growth of modern children is accompanied by various TV dramas and movies, which also contain intimate scenes. Nowadays, children's minds are more mature and their physical development is better. Many girls start menstruating at the age of eight or nine. Parents should pay attention to their children's development and changes in a timely manner, and provide sex education to their children as soon as possible. They should not always expect to wait until the time is ripe to have discussions with their children and solve all major problems.
When children start asking me where I come from, sex education is given to them. At this time, children are simply curious or eager to learn knowledge. If parents treat sex as an obscure and difficult topic to cover up, it is more likely to arouse their children's curiosity and discuss it as a common issue. This way, when children enter adolescence and encounter difficulties, they will seek help from their parents.
How to provide sex education for children?
1. Teach children the difference between men and women
Make children aware of their gender roles, realize the different gender requirements of society for men and women, and tell them where they come from, rather than being blamed by parents for being shy of explanation or traditional ideological education, thereby stimulating children's curiosity, making them want to explore themselves, and ultimately making mistakes.
2. Cleaning up the body is part of sex education
Teach children how to use toilet paper, change underwear frequently, and develop good health and lifestyle habits. If a child has a habit of masturbation, education should be stopped in a timely manner and the dangers of frequent masturbation should be informed.
3. Parents are cautious in their words and actions
The words and actions of parents can have a significant impact on their children. They should directly face sexual questions raised by their children, not actively ask, speak, answer questions without lying, and answer them concisely based on their children's understanding ability.
