Why is the cervix so prone to cancer? These people are most susceptible to cervical cancer and are popular for early prevention
When it comes to gynecological malignancies, many people may think of cervical cancer. Because news always has coverage. Indeed, cervical cancer is the female reproductive system malignant tumor with the highest incidence rate in China. The high incidence age of cervical cancer is between 45 and 59 years old, but due to various factors, the number of cervical cancer patients under the age of 35 is increasing year by year. Experts suggest that women can effectively reduce the incidence of cervical cancer by receiving cervical cancer vaccines; After having sex, one should undergo an annual cervical cytological examination.
Why is the cervix prone to malignant tumors?
1. The cervix is connected to the outside: it is located under the uterine body and is connected to the vagina and uterine body. Female menstrual blood is discharged from here, and the baby passes through the cervix during childbirth. In addition, the cervix can secrete mucus, which can attach to the cervical canal and block bacteria from entering the uterine cavity, thus allowing bacteria to stay in the uterine cavity.
2. Movement at the junction of cervical epithelium: The epithelium at the junction of the cervix and vagina is squamous epithelium, while the epithelium inside the cervical canal is columnar epithelium. The boundary between squamous and columnar epithelium has no transitional area and is susceptible to endocrine influences, so it is frequently active. That is to say, if the estrogen secretion in a woman's body is relatively high, the columnar epithelium will spread out to the outside of the vagina; When estrogen levels decrease, this junction will retreat back into the cervical canal. In this way, it is easy to carry bacteria from the vagina into the cervical cavity and cause infection.
Who are more susceptible to cervical cancer?
Although the cervix is relatively fragile and susceptible to bacterial invasion, if a woman's physical condition is good and certain external factors are excluded, cervical cancer is still not easily sought after, so there is no need to worry too much. However, there are indeed several women who have a high cost of cervical cancer, and these women should be vigilant, stop bad habits, prevent and investigate:
1. Premature sexual activity: Women who have had their first sexual activity under the age of 18, when the development of the cervix is not yet mature, begin sexual activity at that time
2. Multiple deliveries: During a woman's pregnancy, there are changes in estrogen levels during pregnancy, which can stimulate the body to a certain extent. At the same time, choosing a delivery method can also damage the cervix. A combination of multiple factors can increase the risk of cervical cancer.
