Do you often feel itching in your genitals? When you go home to the restroom and are surprised to find that your genitals have "pimples", it is important to be vigilant. Many women in life experience such problems, which bring great troubles to their lives, so they must solve them immediately. So, why does the female vulva develop acne? How to take care of the female external genitalia in daily life?
Why does the female vulva develop acne?
1. Ectopic sebaceous gland
It mostly occurs after puberty, and in women, it mainly occurs in the labia minora and perineum. About the size of a grain of rice, light yellow or light white, most patients are painless and not itchy, while a few female patients may experience mild itching due to vaginal stimulation.
2. Vulvitis
Vulvitis in women is also one of the causes of vulvar acne. Vulvitis is a type of vulvitis caused by pathogen invasion and various adverse stimuli, and can exist independently. It is often associated with vaginitis, urinary system diseases, anorectal diseases, or systemic diseases, or is one of the manifestations of certain vulvar disease changes.
Clinical manifestations include itching, pain, burning sensation, even swelling, redness, erosion, and ulcers on the external genitalia skin.
3. Vestibular gland cyst
A small lump on the external genitalia may be a vestibular gland cyst, with the outlet of the vestibular gland located on the inner side of the labia minora. Bacteria are prone to invasion and cause inflammation.
Generally, bacteria first invade the epithelium of the vestibular gland duct, causing swelling of the mucosa, rupture of the duct opening tissue, and uterine adhesions. The duct opening is blocked, and secretions cannot be discharged, forming a vestibular gland cyst. Mostly unilateral, with varying sizes.
4. Condyloma acuminatum
At the beginning of the injury, there are subtle light red papules, which gradually increase in size and are distributed in a single or clustered manner. They are moist and soft, with an uneven surface and appear as papillary, cockscomb, or cauliflower like protrusions. Red or gray. The root often has a pedicle and is prone to erosion and exudation. It is prone to bleeding when touched, and there is often purulent secretion accumulation between the skin lesions and cracks, causing a foul odor and secondary infection caused by scratching
This disease often has no conscious symptoms, and some patients may experience foreign body sensation, pain, itching, or sexual intercourse pain. Genital warts in the rectum can cause pain, bloody stools, and severe sensations.
There are many reasons for female genital acne, including sebaceous gland ectopia, genital warts, and vulvitis. Female friends must pay attention to the health and hygiene of their private areas, adjust their diet, arrange their daily routines reasonably, and exercise moderately. If necessary, go to the hospital for timely examination and investigation.
