Why do men have phimosis?
Phimosis refers to people with narrow foreskin mouth and difficult to turn over foreskin.
Phimosis is one of the common diseases in the urological center, and it is also a major problem for men. In childhood, everyone was in a phimosis state, and the glans was completely covered by foreskin. At puberty, when the penis is erect, the foreskin is flat and the glans is exposed. Some children's foreskin mouth is very thin, and the foreskin cannot shrink, which hinders the development of the penis head and the whole penis. The external orifice of the urethra is also very small, sometimes the prepuce orifice is as small as a pinhole, and it is difficult to urinate.
In children with phimosis, secretions accumulate under the foreskin and often stimulate the mucous membrane, causing penile foreskin inflammation. Acquired phimosis mainly occurs in prepuceitis of penis and prepuce and penis head injury. There is scar contracture at the prepuce mouth, which loses the elasticity and expansion ability of the skin. The prepuce cannot shrink upward and is often accompanied by urethral stricture. This kind of phimosis will not heal itself. Most phimosis are congenital. Some of them are repeatedly infected on the basis of long foreskin, and the adhesion cannot be reversed.
1. Acquired phimosis:
Acquired phimosis mostly secondary to penile foreskin inflammation, foreskin and penile head injury. The prepuce mouth forms scar contracture, and the skin elasticity and expansion ability are lost. The patient's prepuce cannot shrink upward, accompanied by urethral stricture. This kind of phimosis cannot heal itself.
2. Congenital phimosis:
Congenital phimosis can be seen in newborns and infants of normal males. When a child is born, the foreskin adheres to the penis (glans). At the age of 3 to 4, the penis and glans grow, and the penis erects. Most of the foreskin of the child can shrink upward by itself, and turning the foreskin can show the glans, but some children's foreskin mouth is very thin, and the foreskin cannot shrink, which hinders the development of the glans and the whole penis.
How to deal with phimosis scientifically?
1. Daily care
After a child suffers from phimosis, parents should pay attention to keeping the penis clean and often clean the dirt accumulated on the foreskin of the penis. If there is inflammation (red and swollen) at the prepuce mouth, you can use anti-inflammatory drugs or hot compress first. After the inflammation subsides, if the urination condition is good, surgery can be temporarily omitted. If it is difficult to urinate or the foreskin is incarcerated, go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
