Dietary contraindications for adenomyosis of the uterus
1. Prohibited foods: hot, coagulative and hormone containing foods such as longan, purple river car, red dates, ass hide glue, royal jelly (note: honey tastes sweet, mild, not warm and dry, not included in this list).
2. Avoid spicy foods: Spicy, warm, and highly stimulating foods can exacerbate pelvic congestion and cause uterine muscle spasms. Patients with excessive menstrual flow and dysmenorrhea should try to avoid consuming them. Common spicy foods mainly include spirits, chili peppers, leeks, garlic moss, scallions, ginger, garlic, pepper, and other seasonings.
3. Avoid raw and cold foods: Patients with adenomyosis who have obvious premenstrual and menstrual pain should eat less raw and cold foods to avoid worsening pain caused by cold blood clotting and stasis, especially those with poor gastrointestinal function. They should eat less cold drinks, cold mixed vegetables, mung beans, cucumbers, water chestnuts, bitter gourds, crabs, snails, clam meat, watermelon, grapefruit, and other foods.
4. Eat less acid: Acidic foods have the effects of astringency and blood clotting. Patients with adenomyosis should not eat more, especially during menstruation. Common acidic foods include vinegar, kimchi, pomegranate, green plum, bayberry, carambola, cherry, apricot, plum, lemon, etc.
