What position do two people sleep in? The most comfortable position for couples to sleep in
As a couple, sharing the same bed is a natural thing, which has long been a basic understanding of marital relationships among Chinese people. However, recently, experts have proposed the theory that couples should sleep in separate beds. So, which sleeping position would be better for a couple's life?
For example, the BBC recently reported that British sleep expert Dr. Stanley set up a sleep laboratory at the University of Surrey in the UK. He recruited 40 couples to study sleeping in separate beds, and practiced sleeping in separate rooms with his wife. The results show that couples who sleep together in the same bed are 50% more likely to have their sleep influenced by their partner.
However, many gender experts and marriage counselors have also suggested that prolonged bed separation between couples may make the marriage relationship indifferent and even give third parties the opportunity to take advantage of the situation. In addition, some couples with excellent relationships are very dependent on each other, and sleeping in separate beds can make them restless and affect their sleep quality. In addition, some people may have some cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases as they get older, and sleeping alone is prone to accidents.
Bao Shengtao, a professional member of the andrology branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine and chief physician of the andrology department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told the Life Times that the main reason why many couples sleep in separate beds is that their partners snore, their sleeping habits differ greatly, or one party often dreams and moves heavily when sleeping. In fact, these issues can be changed by adjusting small details in life.
For example, couples who are active during sleep can buy a large bed to ensure that they have more activity areas for each other. The mattress should be slightly harder, so that when you roll over or wake up, you won't wake up your partner; It's best to prepare two blankets so that when one party rolls over, it won't affect the other party. In addition, it is best for couples to go to bed at the same time. If one party often goes to bed late, the other party can consider buying an eye mask. More importantly, try not to sleep face to face or force two people to hug each other, as this can affect the partner's breathing, and leaning too tightly can also make the other person uncomfortable to sleep. It is recommended to sleep back to back or face in the same direction.
