What is the trend of AIDS in China for young people as the main transmission population of AIDS
AIDS is spreading faster and faster in China,
It has gradually spread to teenagers.
Teenagers have become an important target of AIDS prevention and treatment.
According to the data of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2018, 3000 new cases of AIDS were found every year among young people aged 15-24 in China in recent years. Although the new cases of young students only account for about 2%, there are still many worrying trends in the spread of AIDS among adolescents.
In the current process of AIDS prevention and control in China, young people have been a group of concern in recent years. Let's take a look at some painful lessons for teenagers during the flowering season.
Case sharing:
Case 1:
Female, high school student, 17 years old.
Infection experience: Due to early pregnancy, I discovered that I am HIV positive.
Epidemiological investigation: Her boyfriend has had unprotected sex.
Case 2:
Male, 27 years old, graduate student.
Infection experience: Routine testing found that HIV antibodies were positive due to falls.
Epidemiological investigation: There is same-sex behavior in universities, with weak safety awareness, many same-sex friends, and unprotected sexual behavior.
We can find that teenagers do not have a strong awareness of AIDS prevention, and many people know the dangers of AIDS, but they cannot connect with their own behavior, which also reflects the curiosity and attitude of minors towards sexual behavior.
Although AIDS health education at this stage has achieved some results, although the awareness rate is high, there are still many problems. We hope that parents and the whole society can work together:
1. Lack of family education. In family education, most parents mainly focus on their children's academic performance and avoid discussing sex education, resulting in teenagers having little exposure to systematic, comprehensive, and correct sex education.
2. The educational methods are relatively simple. Most schools lack AIDS prevention knowledge and AIDS prevention knowledge and awareness through simple oral explanation or distribution of brochures.
3. There are too many opportunities and conditions for teenagers to interact with society, and most of their leisure and entertainment activities exist on the internet, drinking and dining, entertainment venues, and KTV.
4. Adolescent sexual behavior tends to be younger, with less than 50% of the data on condom use.
5. Fortunately, teenagers have the idea that AIDS is far away from me when they have sex, so they do not take any safety measures. When their passion fades, they start to fear whether they have experienced high-risk sexual behavior.
