What is the difference in symptoms between male and female genital warts?
1. Symptoms of male genital warts
Male patients often occur around the frenulum, coronal sulcus, foreskin, urethra, penis, anus, and scrotum. The disease initially consists of light red or dirty red plantlets the size of millet, which are soft in nature and slightly pointed at the top, gradually growing or increasing. It can develop into papillary or cystic shapes, with a slightly wider or banded base and particles on the surface.
The anus is often enlarged, such as cauliflower, with a moist or bleeding surface, pus accumulation between particles, and a foul odor. Scratching can lead to secondary infection. Genital warts are located in dry areas with low humidity and often have minimal damage, presenting as flat warts. Warts in damp and hot areas are usually filamentous or papillary in shape, which can easily fuse into large blocks.
2、 Symptoms of female genital warts
Female genital warts are epithelial proliferative lesions caused by infection with the papillomavirus, and are one of the important sexually transmitted diseases. The warm and moist skin and mucosa of the vulva are conducive to its growth and reproduction, forming genital or vaginal genital warts. However, not all proud organisms of the external genitalia are genital warts, therefore the clinical pathological diagnosis is the standard for clinical pathological diagnosis.
The average incubation period of female genital warts is 2-3 months, and the development of the lesion is unrestricted. The symptoms are local itching and pain, with a few patients asymptomatic. Growth site: Around the external genitalia, vagina, cervix, and anus, two common areas occur at the same time. Local manifestations are light red or gray papules, appearing as warty protrusions, often fused to form cauliflower like vegetation, with a history of sexual disorder. After applying 5% acetic acid, the lesion turns white.
Genital warts pose a great threat, causing minor physical distress, leading to family fragmentation, severe cancer, and a serious threat to life. Therefore, it is necessary for patients to choose the correct and effective treatment method as soon as possible. Experts say that genital warts are a rule for medical experts to name them reasonably based on the symptoms of the disease, making it easy to distinguish.
