What harm does prolonged treatment of syphilis do to the body? What medicine can be taken to prevent syphilis
Syphilis is a chronic infection caused by spirochetes pallidum, mainly during sexual intercourse. According to the route of infection, it can be divided into acquired syphilis and congenital syphilis. According to the 2-year duration of infection, it can be divided into early syphilis and late syphilis. Early syphilis is contagious, mainly affecting the skin and mucous membranes. In the later stage, besides the skin and mucous membranes, it is particularly prone to invading the cardiovascular and central nervous system, and has been dormant for many years without symptoms for life. In recent years, with the increasing incidence rate of sexually transmitted diseases, the probability of pregnant women infected with syphilis is also increasing, especially in the development, children with congenital syphilis from the same family are increasing year by year.
What is the harm of syphilis to the human body
Phase I syphilis
After 2-3 weeks of sexual intercourse with syphilis patients, one or more hard red lumps can appear in the reproductive organs and other parts of the body, which are neither painful nor itchy. The surface often ulcerates, and is medically referred to as hypodermic rash. At this point, lymph nodes such as the groin swell, which is syphilis.
When suffering from a stage of syphilis, the pathogenic bacteria are still locally detained and have not yet spread throughout the body, that is, the disease is on the surface and has not yet entered, making it a good time for treatment. Recently, standardized anti plum treatment was administered, and 100% cure was achieved.
Phase II syphilis
If this treatment opportunity is missed, hard chancre can disappear on its own after a few weeks. At this point, don't be glad that the disease has healed. On the contrary, the bacteria have invaded the bloodstream and spread throughout the body. Various rashes appear on the skin, often accompanied by lymph node enlargement, which is the second stage of syphilis. After 6 weeks of infection with syphilis, it can enter secondary syphilis, and about 20% of secondary syphilis patients lose the opportunity for radical treatment. From this, it can be seen that early detection of syphilis and timely treatment are very important!
Tertiary syphilis
1. The structural variation of Treponema pallidum results in drug resistance. Every pathogenic microorganism has its own characteristic of variation, and spirochetes are no exception. Mutated spirochetes, such as upgraded computer operating systems, have more complete functions, stronger toxicity, and are difficult to treat. At the same time, the abuse of clinical antibiotics has accelerated the resistance of spirochetes to drugs, bringing difficulties to traditional treatment.
2. The degree of harm has increased, and the rate of disability and mortality has increased. Due to the increased toxicity caused by the mutation of spirochetes, the degree of damage to body organs is exacerbated. Moreover, the rapid development of the condition after mutation, coupled with the poor effectiveness of traditional treatment, has led to an increase in the disability and mortality rates of syphilis on the body. Failure to treat in a timely manner can lead to organ dysfunction and even endanger life.
