Classification and symptoms of male genital herpes
Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by herpes simplex virus infection of genital and anal skin and mucosa. This disease is easy to recur, which brings huge mental burden to patients.
1. Primary genital herpes
Primary genital herpes is the first occurrence. The virus is most likely to infect three kinds of mucosa (oral mucosa, anal mucosa and vaginal mucosa). About 5 days after infection, symptoms appear at the site of the disease. It can occur in the labia, clitoris, vagina, cervix and urethra, as well as in the thigh and buttocks. The early sensory abnormalities of primary genital herpes in the affected area, such as itching, burning, increased leucorrhea and peculiar smell. Soon, light red spots appeared locally. On the basis of erythema, several to ten groups of red papules accompanied by pruritus quickly turn into clusters of blisters the size of sesame and mungbean. If not treated in time, the disease will be delayed, and the blisters will gradually become pustules. Usually, the pustules will form ulcers and erode the ulcer surface. Severe pain accompanied by burning heat. After the ulcer scabs heal, there will be pigment residue, and the course of disease lasts for 15 to 30 days. Because the vagina is close to the urethra, the virus infects the urethra, or the inflammation stimulates the urethra, and symptoms such as frequent urination, painful urination and genital pain during urination will occur. About 90% of female patients suffer from cervical and vulval lesions, multiple bilateral lesions, and are prone to genital inflammation and dysuria.
2、 Recurrent genital herpes
Recurrent genital herpes is a re-infection after the disease has been cured, or the disease has not been completely cured, and the symptoms are basically the same as primary genital herpes. Blisters usually appear at the original rash site, first itching, pain, and clusters of blisters, and then become pustules; After rupture, it forms erosion and ulcer, swelling and pain, and finally scabs and heals. Female patients are prone to relapse before and after menstruation, with many complications. Because of low resistance before and after menstruation, wet vagina, menstrual blood is conducive to the growth and reproduction of the virus. At this time, the cervix is loose, which is easy to cause infection.
