What exactly is vulvar albinism? These diseases need to be detected in a timely manner
Vulvar albinism is a serious gynecological disease with multiple causes, which seriously affects the normal life and health of patients and must be taken seriously.
What is vulvar albinism
Vulvar albinism is a congenital and recessive hereditary disease. It is a common chromosomal recessive inheritance. Congenital hypopigmentation and melanin synthesis disorders in hair follicles. It manifests as a decrease or deficiency of skin and hair pigments throughout the body, and may only occur locally in the external genitalia. The patient with this disease is eyelid albinism (OCA), mainly eye albinism (OA).
Type of vulvar albinism
1. Hypertrophic malnutrition: The itching of the external genitalia is unbearable, accompanied by local pain after scratching, mainly affecting the labia majora and labial sulcus, often symmetrical. The skin in the affected area is thick as leather, with wrinkles and protrusions, and generally without atrophy or adhesion.
2. Sclerotic mossy malnutrition: Symptoms include itching in the affected skin area, whitening, thinning, dryness, and cracking of the skin or mucosa, loss of elasticity, and atrophy of the clitoris. Difficulty during late sexual intercourse.
The characteristics of vulvar albinism
Vulvar albinism is a congenital and recessive hereditary disease, belonging to autosomal recessive inheritance. It is a genetic disease characterized by congenital pigment deficiency and hair follicle melanin synthesis disorders. Vulvar albinism is characterized by a decrease or lack of pigmentation in the skin and hair of the whole body, or it may only occur locally in the vulva. Vulvar leukoplakia refers to localized or diffuse white plaques that appear on the skin of the female genitalia and can spread to the inner sides of both lower limbs, perineum, and anus, but rarely invade the urethral opening and vestibule.
Symptoms and manifestations of vulvar albinism
Inspect the lesion locally for cracks, atrophy, ulcers, induration, adhesions, swelling, exudation, desquamation, and decreased elasticity. Is the edge of the lesion neat and the boundary clear. Observe the morphology of these rashes to distinguish their cold and dampness, heat accumulation, yang deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis, deficiency of qi and blood, and the severity of the disease's development. The "Internal Classic" states that the opening of the kidney originates from the liver meridians in the Yin organs, and white lesions in the external genitalia are most closely related to the liver and kidney meridians. Kidney stores essence and liver stores blood. The main causes and pathogenesis of white lesions in the external genitalia are loss of kidney essence, insufficient liver blood, loss of prosperity and nourishment of the external genitalia, and re invasion by wind evil or injection of dampness and turbidity. Although white lesions of the external genitalia occur in the external genitalia, they actually belong to liver depression, spleen deficiency, kidney deficiency, and disharmony between Chong and Ren. Cold dampness, heat accumulation, yang deficiency, and phlegm stasis induce this disease.
