What changes do women experience after amenorrhea? After menopause, it's important to take care of your body in this way
Amenorrhea is a necessary process for women and a normal physiological condition. Especially after amenorrhea, attention should be paid to physical and psychological changes, as well as cooking in daily life.
Changes after amenorrhea
1. The changes in menstruation mainly include the extension of the menstrual cycle, occasional or irregular amenorrhea, a decrease or sudden increase in menstrual blood volume or significant bleeding, and the extension or shortening of the menstrual cycle until amenorrhea occurs.
2. Women often experience anxiety, depression, excitement, moodiness, irritability, decreased memory, lack of concentration, insomnia, and dreaminess.
3. The changes in the urogenital system include pelvic floor relaxation, breast prolapse, thinning of vaginal mucosa, disappearance of wrinkles, reduced secretion, pain during sexual intercourse, frequent urination, urgency, and urinary incontinence.
4. Vascular vasoconstriction syndrome may occur, including symptoms such as redness, sweating, palpitations, and dizziness, with varying frequency of attacks lasting from seconds to minutes.
5. About 25% of postmenopausal women suffer from osteoporosis, back pain, leg cramps, and muscle joint pain. Abnormal fat metabolism, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are also prone to occur.
6. After amenorrhea, the skin is prone to dryness and looks dull. This is because the distribution of hair and subcutaneous fat is related to the action of estrogen. As age increases, ovarian function deteriorates, estrogen deficiency occurs, and women's skin and hair undergo significant changes. The skin becomes thinner, elasticity gradually disappears, and wrinkles appear, especially in exposed areas such as the face, neck, hands, and around the mouth and corners of the eyes.
Postmenopausal maintenance
1. Adequate exercise: Depending on age and physical condition, appropriate exercises such as jogging, walking, Tai Chi, and healthy exercise should be chosen. Appropriate exercise can not only promote blood circulation, increase metabolism, reduce the occurrence of osteoporosis, but also eliminate melancholic emotions and make physical and mental pleasure.
2. Balanced nutrition: Consume an appropriate amount of six types of foods every day, including milk, grains, roots and stems (i.e. staple foods), eggs, beans, fish, vegetables, fruits, and fats. Different types of food contain different nutrients, and daily dietary choices must be diverse and appropriate in order to maintain physical health.
3. Optimistic attitude towards life: Menopausal period is a necessary journey for every woman in her life. Facing menopause with an optimistic and healthy attitude can make her life more enjoyable.
