The symptoms of genital warts vary in different stages, and if not treated properly, it may lead to complications. Pay attention to personal hygiene and abnormal reproductive health issues to avoid high-risk sexual behavior.
Condyloma acuminatum is divided into three stages, and the symptoms of different stages vary!
1. Incubation period of genital warts
When infected with HPV virus on the skin and mucosa, it cannot be directly manifested and has a certain incubation period. Due to the different constitutions of each individual, the length of the incubation period can also vary greatly. People with strong immunity have a longer incubation period.
Generally, lesions can appear around three months after infection with the HPV virus, and some physically strong individuals may take several years to develop the disease. Generally, the population with a short incubation period is around 3-4 weeks, while the population with a long incubation period is around 8-12 months.
2. The mid-term symptoms of genital warts
At the middle stage of genital warts, obvious symptoms may appear. The patient's skin initially exhibits light red papules of similar size to rice grains, but gradually enlarge in the middle stage, with uneven papillary lesions appearing on the surface. Some patients may develop cauliflower like vegetation.
When the condition progresses to a certain extent, erosion and exudation may occur, with a noticeable itching sensation. Scratching with hands due to itching can lead to secondary bacterial infections, and the patient may develop purulent secretions with a clear foul odor and pain. When the anal region is infected with the genital wart virus, cauliflower like substances appear, the surface is moist and bleeding, accompanied by a foul odor.
3. Late symptoms of genital warts
In the late stage of genital warts, there will be a significant sense of compression, and the warts will continue to grow and gradually fuse, forming a coronal or papillary shape. There will be a noticeable itching or compression sensation, and when accompanied by bacterial infection, there will be a serious foul odor. In the late stage, cancer can also occur.
