What are the differences between male and female genital herpes symptoms? What are the classifications of genital herpes
External manifestations of female genital herpes. Female genital herpes is accompanied by low fever, chills, abdominal pain, aversion, swollen inguinal lymph nodes, cervicitis and endometritis. When the later viral infection involves the urethra and bladder mucosa, dysuria, frequency of urination, pain in urination and severe urinary retention will occur. In addition, the symptoms of female genital herpes can also appear together with other symptoms, such as fever, general discomfort, headache, neck rigidity, meningitis and dysfunction of sacral nervous system. If genital herpes involves the lips, it can cause simple herpes on the lips. If a pregnant woman is infected with herpes virus, the placenta will infect the fetus, resulting in microcephaly, congenital heart disease, incomplete limbs, microphthalmia and other diseases. If the newborn is infected in the perinatal period, the fetus is more complicated with encephalitis, so the damage of sexually transmitted diseases to women is much more serious than that of men.
HSV-1 infection and HSV-2 infection: HSV-1 type of primary genital herpes infection passes a certain stop period, and then relapses into HSV-2 type to form a periodic recurrence. The course of each occurrence is also very short. Without drugs, it usually decreases in about 7 days, and then occurs again. Fever, menstruation, trauma, alcoholism, food and drugs can all lead to accelerated recurrence. HSV-1 mainly causes lip herpes, pharyngitis, corneal conjunctivitis and sporadic encephalitis, while HSV-2 infection mainly causes genital herpes, but the clinical situation is the opposite.
HSV-1. Infection mainly occurs at the junction of skin and mucosa, such as quarrel, lip margin and nostril. You can also see faces or lips. At first, there was burning itching and slight tension, occasionally accompanied by neuralgia. Then erythema appears. Clustered papules appear on the basis of erythema, and quickly turn into vesicles the size of millet to mung bean. The content is clear. After the blister breaks, the surface will fester, and dry scab will appear after a few days. Blind burning, itching, occasional fatigue, discomfort, slight fever and other systemic manifestations can leave temporary pigment calm after healing. The whole process takes about 1-2 weeks.
HSV-2. The infection mainly occurs in the genital area. The patient first has a sense of baking. On the basis of erythema, a group of small blisters will soon appear. The male prepuce, glans, coronal groove, penis and other parts are more, and occasionally appear in the urethra; Women are often found in labia, clitoris, vagina, cervix and other parts. The blister can gradually become a pustule, break up in about 6 days, form an ulcer or shallow ulcer, and blind pain. Patients may have urethritis and difficulty urinating. Most people have swollen and painful inguinal lymph nodes, and some patients may have fever, muscle pain and meningitis. If it occurs in the female cervix, it may cause ulcer necrosis, increased vaginal secretion and lower abdominal pain. Attention should be paid to the presence of cervical cancer. During pregnancy, genital herpes is prone to miscarriage, premature delivery or stillbirth, neonatal infection and neonatal herpes simplex. The disease usually recovers in about 3 weeks, but usually relapses within 2 to 5 months after the original eruption. It is lighter and smaller than the original one. It is limited to the genital area. Sometimes it has only 1-2 herpes, and the course of disease is short. The course of disease can also be accompanied by 6-10 days.
