AIDS is a very harmful infectious disease, caused by AIDS virus (HIV) infection. HIV is a virus that can attack the human immune system. It targets the most important T lymphocytes in the human immune system as its main target, extensively damaging them and causing the body to lose its immune function. Therefore, the human body is prone to infection with various diseases and can develop malignant tumors, with a high mortality rate. The incubation period of HIV in the human body is 8~9 years on average. Before suffering from AIDS, people can live and work without symptoms for many years. At present, AIDS is still an incurable disease, but patients can effectively prolong the survival period of patients through active treatment intervention, so that patients can imagine working and living like normal people.
The initial symptoms of AIDS can be divided into four stages: acute infection period, incubation period, initial stage of AIDS and typical AIDS period. In addition, the symptoms of AIDS vary from time to time, and not all patients infected with AIDS have experienced these four stages.
1. Acute infection period of AIDS
The acute infection period is the window period. The main symptoms during this period are fever, rash, swollen lymph nodes, muscle pain, weakness, night sweats, pharyngitis, etc.
The symptoms of AIDS during acute infection are mild. Two to six weeks after HIV infection, check the blood, check whether HIV antibody is positive, and judge whether AIDS is infected.
2. AIDS incubation period
After HIV infection, it began to enter the incubation period and went through 2 to 10 years. The symptoms of AIDS in the incubation period were not obvious, and it was difficult to detect and prevent AIDS in the incubation period. But the incubation period is not a resting period, let alone a safe period. The virus continues to reproduce and has a strong destructive effect.
Therefore, people with high incidence of AIDS should pay attention to HIV testing to avoid its impact on health.
3. Pre AIDS
Pre AIDS refers to a period of time after the incubation period when AIDS related symptoms and signs begin to appear, until it develops into a typical AIDS. At this time, AIDS will continue to have enlarged lymph nodes, which are mostly found in the head and neck, armpit, groin, back of neck, front of ear, back of ear, femoral lymph nodes, submandibular lymph nodes and other symptoms.
The lymph node enlargement in the early stage of AIDS usually lasts more than half a year, and the weight loss is more than 10%. The periodic low fever lasts for several months. The hairy leukoplakia in the mouth during night sweat is an important clue for early diagnosis of AIDS.
