What are the common causes of urethral stones? What symptoms can be diagnosed as urethral stones
Primary urethral stones are rare. Most urinary stones come from the Urinary system above them. In males, urethral stones are easily embedded into the prostate urethra and the urethral navicular fossa, forming the external opening of the urethra.
etiology
Urethral stones are divided into two types: primary and secondary, and their causes are as follows:
1. Primary urethral calculi
It refers to stones that begin to form in the urethra, caused by urethral stricture, infection, accumulated cysts, mucosal damage, rest rooms, and foreign bodies.
2. Secondary urethral stones
It means that the stones are first formed in the Urinary system on the urethra and then discharged into the urethra. They stay in the urethra, mostly near the physiological expansion and stricture of the urethra. Therefore, urethral stones are mostly found in the prostate, bulb, penis, navicular fossa and external orifice of the urethra.
clinical manifestation
The main manifestations are Dysuria, Dysuria, dripping, urinary flow interruption and urine accumulation. Sometimes there is obvious pain when urinating, and it can hit the head of the penis. Posterior urethral stones have pain in the perineum and scrotum. Penile stones can be felt in the painful area, and when urinating forcefully, the stones can be expelled. Complete blockage can cause acute urinary accumulation. The female urinary diverticulum stones are mainly lower urinary tract infection symptoms, including frequent urination, painful urination, nocturnal polyuria, pyuria and hematuria, prominent symptoms of Dyspareunia, and sometimes purulent urethra. In addition to urethral secretions and painful urination, stones in male urethral diverticula can also present as a gradually increasing and hard mass below the penis, with obvious tenderness but no symptoms of urinary obstruction.
