Causes of prostatitis
1. Prostatic hyperemia
Abnormal sexual life: Excessive sexual life and forced interruption can cause abnormal hyperemia of the prostate, but excessive abstinence in sexual life can also cause passive hyperemia.
Direct compression of the perineum: cycling, sitting, etc. can lead to repeated perineal injury and prostate congestion.
Unhealthy diet: excessive drinking, spicy and greasy food can lead to prostate congestion.
2. Urine irritation
Urine contains a variety of acid-base chemicals. Patients with local neuroendocrine disorders will cause uric acid and other irritant chemicals to flow back into the prostate, causing chronic prostatitis.
3. Pathogenic microorganism infection
Various microorganisms, such as bacteria, protozoa, fungi, viruses, etc., can become the source of infection causing prostatitis, such as mycoplasma, chlamydia, gonococcus, non-gonococcus, etc.
4. Immune factors, allergy
If the patient has no evidence of bacterial, viral and mycoplasma infection after examination, the existence of immune factors can be considered. Clinically, allergic reactions to certain viruses can also lead to inflammation.
5. Anxiety, depression, fear and other emotions
50% of patients with chronic non-bacterial prostatitis have symptoms of excessive stress such as anxiety, depression, fear, pessimism, which is called "tension prostatitis".
