What is the cause of impotence?
1. Psychoneural factors:
Such as childhood sexual psychological trauma, or lack of sexual knowledge in marriage, tension and anxiety, or disharmonious feelings between husband and wife, and disharmonious family relations; Or bad habits, such as excessive masturbation, but reduced penile sensitivity, mental tension, and heavy ideological burden will lead to impotence; Excessive mental or physical strength, or bad mental stimulation, such as excessive depression, sadness, fear, or indulgence, excessive sexual life will lead to cerebral cortex dysfunction and impotence.
2. Neuropathy:
Hypothalamic-pituitary tumor or other tumors, local brain injury, such as localized epilepsy, encephalitis, cerebral hemorrhage compression, spinal cord injury, spinal cord tumor, chronic alcoholism, multiple sclerosis, pelvic surgery peripheral autonomic nerve injury, etc.
3、 Endocrine disease:
Such as diabetes, pituitary insufficiency, testicular injury or hypofunction, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, etc.
Urogenital diseases:
Such as prostatitis, prostatic hyperplasia, epididymitis, varicocele and so on often lead to impotence. Impotence in some middle-aged and elderly patients is caused by prostatitis and prostatic hyperplasia.
5. Drug effects:
Many clinical drugs can inhibit sexual function, leading to impotence.
6. Chronic fatigue:
Fatigue can lead to impotence, because cardiac fatigue such as muscle fatigue or excessive use of brain, depression and tension interfere with sexual desire, including inhibition of sexual interest in brain function, excitement of emotional center of skin limbic system, decreased secretion of pituitary gonadotropin and testosterone, and sexual excitement.
