The main clinical manifestations of chronic prostatitis are urethral irritation and chronic pelvic pain, which are often accompanied by psychosocial symptoms and have various clinical manifestations. If chronic prostatitis is not treated in time, it will affect sexual function and urinary system, and even lead to male infertility.
So, what is the cause of chronic prostatitis?
1. Chronic bacterial prostatitis: The pathogenic factor is also mainly pathogen infection, but the body resistance is strong or/and the pathogen toxicity is weak, mainly retrograde infection. The main pathogen is Staphylococcus, followed by Escherichia coli, Corynebacterium and Enterococcus. Prostate calculus and urine reflux may be important reasons for the persistence of pathogens and recurrence of infection.
2、 Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis: The etiology is very complex, and its main cause may be the result of the joint action of pathogen infection, inflammation, abnormal pelvic floor neuromuscular activity and immune abnormalities.
1. Pathogen infection. Although the routine bacterial examination failed to isolate pathogens, such patients may still be infected with special pathogens such as anaerobic bacteria, such as L-proteus, nanobacteria, chlamydia trachomatis, mycoplasma, etc.
2. Dysfunction of urination. Some factors lead to excessive contraction of the urethral sphincter, resulting in bladder outlet obstruction and residual urine formation, leading to urine flowing back into the prostate. It can not only bring pathogens into the prostate, but also directly stimulate the prostate, induce sterility "chemical prostatitis ", and cause abnormal urination and pelvic pain.
3. Pelvic related disease factors. Some patients with prostatitis are often accompanied by peripheral venous plexus expansion of the prostate, hemorrhoids, varicocele, etc., indicating that the symptoms of some patients with chronic prostatitis may be related to pelvic venous congestion, which may also be one of the reasons for long-term cure
4. Neuroendocrine factors. Patients with prostate pain are prone to heart rate and blood pressure fluctuations, which may be related to autonomic nervous response.
5. Abnormal immune response. Recent studies have shown that immune factors play a very important role in the development and evolution of prostatitis III.
6. Mental and psychological factors. More than half of the patients with chronic prostatitis have obvious mental and psychological factors and personality changes.
