Rule 1: Exercise regularly and sit soon
The special position of the prostate gland determines that men should stand rather than sit for a long time. Because sitting for a long time always oppresses the prostate, hindering its microcirculation and blocking its glands, which is not conducive to its growth and metabolism. Experts have discovered an interesting phenomenon when treating patients: Among men with prostate disease, there are fewer workers, farmers, and salesmen who often work standing up, while the proportion of white-collar workers, civil servants, drivers, postmen, and mental workers is higher. One of the reasons is that these people sit for too long. Many people work at their desks for a long time and lack physical activity, resulting in a high incidence of prostate disease and long-term difficulty in curing it. The benefits of sports for prostate health care lie in strengthening the physique, improving the body's immunity, resisting the invasion of external pathogens on the prostate, and resisting bacterial damage.
Second Law: Adhering to Regular Sexual Life
One day, while visiting Cao Kaiyong's TCM clinic, an expert met a young man aged 30. He reported frequent urination, urgency, and swelling of the perineum, accompanied by symptoms such as low back pain, insomnia, and depression. After the doctor's examination, no special abnormality was found. The expert asked him, "Is the husband and wife living in harmony?" The young man said, "My wife has been studying abroad for 10 months." The expert immediately understood that he was suffering from aseptic prostatitis caused by a sudden cessation of sexual activity. Originally, his age was in a period of sexual activity, when the natural release of sexual energy was forcibly terminated due to human factors, resulting in a prolonged lack of sexual activity. The accumulation of secretions and expansion of acini caused tissue edema between the glands, leading to aseptic inflammation of the prostate. This case tells us that regular sexual life is essential for men to maintain prostate health.
The Third Rule: Quit Smoking and Don't Drink
The prostate is an organ that is very sensitive to tobacco, alcohol, and spicy food. "When toxins and alcohol in smoke enter the blood and flow through the prostate, capillaries expand and become congested, resulting in an increase in exudate from cellular tissue, cell edema, and the prostate being stimulated to expand and become larger.". Therefore, after smoking and drinking alcohol, people with chronic prostatitis will soon experience symptoms of sagging and swelling of the perineum, painful testicular traction, and itching of the urethra. After a person is drunk, it takes 3-5 days for the prostate to absorb the exuded tissue fluid and restore its original state. Repeated smoking, drinking alcohol, and eating spicy food can make it increasingly difficult to eliminate prostate edema and hypertrophy, causing damage to its function. Therefore, men who have suffered from acute or chronic prostatitis should cherish this gonadal organ and avoid stimulating it as much as possible.
