To promote sexual education and health in the Hong Kong and Macao regions, the first Hong Kong and Macao Sexual Culture Festival will be unveiled at the end of this month and held in both Hong Kong and Macau. The content includes body art, lectures, debate competitions, short film appreciation, medical consultation, etc.
The first Hong Kong Macao Sexual Culture Festival, with the theme of "Crossing Borders, Moving towards Diversity". The organizers believe that sex education in Hong Kong has stagnated in recent years and hope to bring new impacts through the Sex Culture Festival to promote local sex education and sexual health.
Wu Minlun, convener of the Organizing Committee for the Sex Culture Festival and Vice President of the Hong Kong Sex Education Association, told reporters from China News Agency that Hong Kong has the lowest level of sex culture among the three regions on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and the most conservative sexual attitudes. The survey shows that young people in Hong Kong have a very limited knowledge of sex, and their sensitivity to sexual information is irrational. In contrast, mainland China is more open to sexual information and more widely accepted by the public than Hong Kong.
Wu Minlun stated that the purpose of holding the Sex Culture Festival is to enable citizens to receive positive sex education messages in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, in order to enhance their attention to sex education and culture; Increase citizens' awareness and acceptance of various aspects and different concepts of sexuality; And providing a platform for reflection, discussion, and exchange of opinions can, in the long run, encourage open and open-minded discussions and development of sexual culture among the public.
The unveiling ceremony of the Hong Kong Macau Sexual Culture Festival and the outdoor carnival in Hong Kong will be held on the 30th of this month. The contents include: the release of the results of a large Hong Kong wide survey on the gender relationship and sexual life of married people in Hong Kong, the junior college debate contest held with the theme of "Hong Kong Government Should Regulate Online Pornographic Information", the body painting art demonstration and works exhibition, the lecture and exhibition on the development history of local pornographic magazines, the lecture of service groups focusing on sexual violence, female Sex worker and lesbians, etc, Among them, Midnight blue, a mutual aid organization for male Sex worker, participated in for the first time.
The four-day indoor activity in Macao will be held in the Venetian Convention and Exhibition Center from December 4 to 7. The main programs include: lectures on safe sex and harmonious sex life, lectures on Sex therapy, marriage and sex and sexual aids, lectures organized by the organization of attention to sexual violence, homosexuality and Sex worker, etc. And the Asian Adult Expo will be held at the same time.
The Hong Kong and Macao Sex Culture Festival was organized by the The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Sex Society and the Hong Kong Tenth Festival. More than 20 Hong Kong and Macao institutions participated in the festival.
