Syphilis doesn't have to worry. It's expected to be completely eradicated in ten years

In response to the severe situation of the continuous rise of the national syphilis epidemic, the Ministry of Health previously formulated the "China Syphilis Prevention and Control Plan (2010-2020)". The Plan clearly proposes to strengthen the effective combination of syphilis and AIDS prevention and control, and effectively curb the rapid rise of syphilis infection through five years of efforts. The Plan emphasizes that through ten years' efforts, the incidence rate of primary and secondary syphilis will be reduced, and the goal of eliminating congenital syphilis will be basically achieved.

According to the Plan, the overall goal of syphilis control in China is to control the incidence rate growth rate of syphilis in the first and second annual reports of the country to be less than 5% by the end of 2015. By the end of 2020, the incidence rate of the first and second annual reports of syphilis in the country showed a downward trend, and the goal of basically eliminating congenital syphilis was achieved.

Knowledge rate of syphilis prevention and control among urban residents, rural residents, undercover prostitutes, and men who have sex with men among the population aged 15-49 nationwide

Expert related knowledge and technical standards mastery qualification rate

The proportion of experts actively providing syphilis consultation and examination services, and the proportion of syphilis patients receiving standardized diagnosis

The proportion of syphilis screening for pregnant women in urban and rural areas, and the proportion of pregnant women infected with syphilis receiving standardized diagnostic services in urban and rural areas.
