Causes of miscarriage and dystocia: Premature delivery of ovarian cysts may cause miscarriage, torsion of the ovarian cyst stem in the second trimester of pregnancy, and abnormal fetal position in the third trimester of pregnancy when the cyst is large, leading to blockage of the birth canal and dystocia during delivery.

Common complications of ovarian cysts
1. Ovarian tumors: Ovarian tumors refer to tumors that occur on the ovaries. It is one of the common tumors in female genitalia. The ovary is small in size, but it is the organ where tumors are most likely to occur. Ovarian malignancies are still the most common gynecological malignancies with the highest mortality rate. Ovarian tumors do not have obvious symptoms in the early stage, but usually have discomfort in the lower abdomen, enlarged abdominal circumference, intra-abdominal masses, abdominal pain, compression symptoms, menstrual disorders, etc. So far, the 5-year survival rate of ovarian cancer is only 25% -30%, threatening the largest disease among gynecological tumors.
2. Tumor stem torsion: About 10% of ovarian tumors undergo torsion. The condition for ovarian tumor stem torsion is the growth of the tumor stem, which is as large as the fetal head and has no adhesion to surrounding tissues. The tumor is prone to movement in the abdominal cavity. After acute torsion of the ovarian tumor, blood circulation is disrupted, which can cause swelling, bleeding, necrosis, rupture, and infection of the tumor. Its main manifestations are sudden severe lower abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and tenderness. When the tumor stem is severely twisted, the arteries are also blocked, leading to long-term tumor necrosis.
