Men don't pay attention to genital hygiene, be careful what symptoms will occur if they suffer from balanitis
Male friends don't know what balanitis is. Here, balanitis refers to mucosal inflammation caused by various physical factors (trauma, friction, contraceptives, detergents, urine, etc.), long prepuce, phimosis, scale stimulation of prepuce, various infections (bacteria, fungi, amoeba, trichomonas, etc.), drug hypersensitivity, etc. So, what is the cause of balanitis? What are the symptoms of balanitis? Where is the key point of treatment? Let's introduce it one by one.
Ignoring genital hygiene is prone to balanitis
1. Non-infective factors: including local trauma, friction, contraceptives, soap, detergent and other irritants, which can be manifested locally as edema erythema, erosion, exudation and even bleeding, and secondary bacterial infection can suppurate and form ulcer surface. The patient has obvious pain and is unable to move. It is clinically known as acute superficial balanitis.
2. Genital hygiene: often clean the external genitalia, or do not turn the foreskin when cleaning. The secretion of the sebaceous gland of the foreskin accumulates under the foreskin, forming the foreskin scale like bean curd residue. The foreskin scale is a good culture agent for bacteria, and it is easy to induce balanitis if it is not removed in time.
3. Bacterial infection: Candida infection, trichomonas infection, amoeba infection, etc. can cause balanitis.
What are the symptoms of balanitis?
1. Micaceous and keratinized pseudodermatomatous balanitis: the glans is infiltrating and hypertrophic, hyperkeratosis, micaceous scab, the affected part loses normal elasticity, and is shrinking day by day, the histopathological keratosis is excessive, and the hypertrophic epidermis suddenly extends pseudodermatomatous hyperplasia.
2. Acute superficial balanitis: edema, erythema, exudation, erosion, secondary infection, purulent secretion, easy to form ulcers, and conscious pain.
3. Annular erosive balanitis: the inflammation damage of the glans and prepuce is annular or annular, and there is case-like scale on the prepuce. It is easy to break down and become a shallow ulcer over time. If the annular feature is lost, it is not easy to distinguish from superficial balanitis. This disease can exist alone or can be used as a mucosal symptom of Reiter syndrome.
4. Plasma cell balanitis: it is common in middle age, and single or multiple chronic inflammatory lesions that do not subside for a long time, presenting patchy, smooth or desquamated or moist surface, obvious infiltration, clear definition, not easy to break, small spots on the surface that look like chili powder, and the shape is similar to the proliferative erythema of balanus
