Gonorrhea is a purulent infection of the Genitourinary system caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae Diplococcus (also known as gonorrhoea), which is characterized by the discharge of purulent secretions. Gonorrhea is mainly infected through sexual intercourse, which is easy to occur in Young adult. It is the highest incidence rate of sexually transmitted diseases in China. The first person is often in the urethra, that is, gonorrhoeal Urethritis. When the disease further spreads, it can also damage the reproductive system and other organs throughout the body, causing chronic inflammation of the urinary and reproductive organs, leading to infertility and infertility.
There are 5 initial symptoms of gonorrhea
1: Urinary secretions: when purulent secretions appear at the urethral orifice, the viscosity changes to yellow. When getting up in the morning, when there is transparent viscous secretions at the urethral orifice of acute gonorrhea, if the amount is small, it may be non gonococcal Urethritis.
2: Urethral pruritus: When men have the initial symptoms of gonorrhea, consider the initial reaction of non gonococcal Urethritis and gonococcal Urethritis.
3: Male patients with frequent urination, urgency of urination, pain in urination, and redness and swelling of urethral orifice: when male patients with this symptom and painful erection of penis at night, acute gonorrhoeal Urethritis should be considered.
4: Neoplasm of vulva: around the vulva or anus, there are multiple invasive, grayish white, flat and protuberant papules or nodules. The humidity is easy to erode, and there is odor. Consider the vulva or anus surrounding flat warts (syphilis spirochete infection), light red or grayish brown, cauliflower like or cockscomb, Genital wart, Genital wart
5: Ulcers of the external genitalia: If it is a circular ulcer, with hard cartilage, no pain, single occurrence, it is more likely to be caused by soft ulcers with serrated edges, shallow edges, accompanied by pain, multiple cases of pus coating, and multiple cases of soft scabies
How long is the incubation period for gonorrhea?
1. In males, the incubation period is 2-14 days, usually caused by mild discomfort in the urethra, and after a few hours, urinary pain and purulent discharge appear. Frequent and urgent urination when the lesion extends to the posterior urethra. Examination revealed purulent yellow green urethral discharge, with a red and swollen urethral opening.
2. Gonorrhea in women usually begins to show symptoms from 7 to 12 days after infection. The symptoms are generally mild, but sometimes severe, with painful urination and frequent discharge. The cervix and deep organs are the most commonly infected areas, followed by the urethra, rectum, and paraurethral ducts. The cervix becomes red and brittle, accompanied by mucopurulent or purulent secretions.
