In the clinic, we often meet some young people who are afraid to marry because of prostatitis, for fear that chronic prostatitis will affect sexual function. There are some partial psychological factors. Decreased libido, impotence and premature ejaculation are mainly caused by dysfunction of viscera and imbalance of yin and yang, and also related to prostatitis, epididymitis, orchitis and other appendicitis.
Because of the normal blood supply and the regulation of male hormones (i.e. endocrine), chronic prostatitis does not directly affect sexual function, but mainly indirectly affects the secretion of hormones by the testicles, resulting in impotence, premature ejaculation, low libido, etc.
Theoretically, because prostate fluid is an important component of semen, when suffering from chronic prostatitis, it should have an impact on semen volume, PH value, sperm viability, motility, liquefaction (semen), etc. Newborn prostate is the largest unpaired gonadal gland in the human body, which plays an important role in male fertility, mainly in two aspects:
1. Prostate fluid is a component of semen, accounting for 30% of total semen. The relationship between prostate fluid and sperm is like fish-water relationship. If the prostate is inflamed, it will cause insufficient secretion of semen, induce oligospermia, make semen nutrient deficiency, change the pH, affect the living environment of sperm and lead to male infertility.
2. There are a variety of proteolytic enzymes, fibrinolytic enzymes and other liquid factors in the prostatic fluid, which can make the semen change from colloidal state to liquid state within 30 minutes, so as to facilitate the sperm to reach the uterus and combine the fallopian tube with the egg to make the woman pregnant. If the prostate is inflamed, it can cause the semen not to liquefy and cause male infertility. However, there are many reasons for infertility, which should be clearly diagnosed in combination with modern high-tech.
