Is prostatitis closely related to fertility? Can chronic prostatitis be completely cured
The cause of male infertility is very complex. It is not only the cause of prostatitis. If chronic prostatitis is overemphasized, other causes are often ignored and the treatment opportunity is delayed. It may also not increase the patient's fear of the disease. If the husband and wife do not find other causes of infertility in the system examination, they need not be too nervous because chronic prostatitis can be completely cured.
A few days ago, a clinical investigation of prostatitis and male infertility, which was conducted by Beijing Urology Organization and the andrology department of seven domestic hospitals, showed that although some semen parameters of patients with chronic prostatitis may be lower than those of normal fertility, it was not found that they had a significant impact on the fertility of patients.
The relationship between prostatitis and fertility has not been fully clarified. Because some patients are infertile, they naturally link the two directly, and individuals even dare not marry because of fear that prostatitis will affect fertility. Some doctors are also looking for the cause of male infertility, firmly focusing on prostatitis. This situation seems too strong.
When the prostate gland is inflamed, the secretion of prostate fluid decreases, which reduces the amount of semen and interferes with the survival and activity of sperm. At the same time, the activity of enzymes in prostate fluid decreases, the viscosity of semen increases, and the liquefaction time extends. In addition, the presence of inflammation can also reduce the pH value of semen, make the body produce anti-sperm antibodies, and make sperm die. Prostate fluid contains a large amount of bacteria and bacterial toxins due to inflammation, which can consume the nutrients of seminal plasma and affect the survival of sperm. Patients may further reduce their fertility due to a large amount of antibiotics, which may affect the fertility of men, but not the decisive factor. In fact, the symptoms of chronic prostatitis in the vast majority of male infertility patients are relatively mild. In clinical practice, some patients have severe prostate inflammation, but their fertility is safe.
Since most of the patients with abnormal semen liquefaction are accompanied by genital infectious diseases such as prostatitis, therefore, in order to prevent the occurrence of semen liquefaction, men should pay attention to protecting their prostate in daily life, such as not drinking too much, eating less spicy food, avoiding long-term cycling and sitting, having regular sex life, and paying attention to local warmth.
