Is having too much sex harmful to the vagina? Doing these things before sex can protect vaginal health
Sex is a very sweet and stimulating thing, but everything should be done in a certain way. Frequent sexual intercourse can damage the acidic environment of a woman's vagina and lead to private infections. The vagina is a stable acidic ring
Sex is a very sweet and stimulating thing, but everything should be done in a certain way. Frequent sexual intercourse can damage the acidic environment of a woman's vagina and lead to private infections.
The vagina is a stable acidic environment
Healthy women's vaginas are in an acidic environment (pH range of 3.8-4.4), which is maintained by the dominant bacterium Lactobacillus producing lactic acid to inhibit the growth of other bacteria. Anatomically speaking, the vagina is connected to the outside world, but the upper part of the vagina is wide and the lower part is narrow, which means the outlet part is actually narrow, and the vaginal wall is usually relatively close. So, the vagina is actually relatively isolated from the outside world, maintaining a relatively stable acidic environment.
Male genitalia tends to be alkaline
Compared to the acidic environment of the vagina, the male penis tends to be alkaline because the epidermis of the penis is the skin rather than the mucosa, and the pH value of the skin is approximately 5.5. Therefore, compared to the vagina, the penis tends to be alkaline. In addition, the penis is tightly wrapped. Sweat and men's "informality" often lead to a large number of bacteria breeding in the penis. These bacteria are not lactobacilli that the vagina likes to produce lactic acid, but pathogenic bacteria that cause Vaginitis.
Making love is like 'invading enemies'
In addition, bacteria also exist in the female external genitalia, which is different from the inside of the vagina. Therefore, every time you make love, a woman's vagina is like encountering a "deadly enemy" invasion: female vulva bacteria and bacteria carried by the penis will be brought into the vagina. In addition, the penis itself is weakly alkaline (relative to the vagina), which will break the Balance of nature inside the vagina. And during sex, the vagina is opened and comes into more contact with the outside world. In this way, being neutralized by alkali, increasing foreign bacteria, and being connected to the outside world... Therefore, it is not surprising that the vaginal pH value will suddenly surge from around 4 to 7.2 after sex and maintain it for 6-8 hours.
High risk of infection due to damage to acidic environments
The health of the vagina is maintained by an acidic environment, which increases the likelihood of infection and inflammation. If it is during the physiological period, the acidic environment in the vagina is already disrupted by menstrual blood, and in addition, the alkalinity and bacteria brought by men increase the probability of infection by several times.
This also explains why women who have not had sex under the same hygiene conditions are less likely to be infected with inflammation, and why sex workers have such a high probability of being infected with inflammation.
Be sure to do good personal hygiene before having sex
In summary, before making love, please do personal hygiene, regardless of gender. Auntie visits, please abstain from sex. As long as you have sex, you should undergo a gynecological check-up every six months. Also, please do not continue having sex!
Will using condoms be different
In terms of pH changes, there won't be much difference. Although a qualified condom is cleaner than an unwashed penis, it is a rubber product that can only be stored safely and stably in a neutral environment. The lubricant on the outside of the condom is neutral, with a pH of 7, which is still significantly different from the normal pH of the vagina (3.8-4.4).
Refusing to eat due to choking, not worth the loss
Are they all Asceticism? Of course not. In addition to the practical function of nurturing a baby, the function of having sex is also something that one cannot give up.
Although the acidic environment of the vagina is easily broken, it is not yet fragile enough to lose its self-regulation and recovery ability. Otherwise, the history of human development would truly become a history of women's blood and tears. After sexual intercourse, the acidic environment is disrupted, but the vagina returns to its previous relative isolation state. The estrogen and lactobacilli inside will strive to produce lactic acid, establishing the acidic environment that the vagina likes again. Of course, the premise is not to have continuous and frequent sex. Otherwise, there is a limit to the self-regulation and recovery of the vagina, beyond which everything will go against health.
